I was approached by an indie studio to assist in recreating Ghibli-style trees/bushes/etc for their project. Below are the results of the achieved Ghibli solution I provided.
This is a Unity Shader that I created to apply to low-res meshes for quad mesh billboarding where the quad billboards are all sharing the same UV space 0 to 1. This allowed for a more performant and dynamic solution with all the parameters I created and exposed in the shader network (versus the heavy-handed performance hit of having hand-painted textures on intersecting alpha cards).

This is a sample of one of the substance materials that was a key anchor asset that I created while working with Northeastern University to help gamify lesson plans in a civil engineering program. This material solution was widely used to represent varying water and mud infiltration levels that occur during levy failures.

Below is a sampling of what I provided for customized character pipeline development options paired with the very first character expression sheet concept for a TV series, Alter Ego, focusing on emotional investment and workflow options. This material was used in the early stages in 2019 for the original pilot and pitch decks that were shopped around with varying networks.
What is Alter Ego? The TV show series is a music competition game show that premiered on Fox on September 22, 2021. Using innovative AR for on-air solutions, contestants compete backstage while mocap technology visualizes their real-time digital avatars that appear in their place on stage.
